First Weekend of Rifle Season

Wet seat, chill in the air, 50 degrees. I'm ready with my rifle. Crockett tells me not to shoot at the first doe I see. Is he crazy? He says to wait on the buck. I think, Does he know this is Colemesneil, Texas and my buck sighting here has been next to nil? Omg, feeder just went off, almost lost my composure. Well, if I see a doe and she's a shooter I'm going for it. With a limited amount we can shoot, I'm not crazy about freezing out here this winter just because. It seems once rifle season starts the deer become more scarce. And if I can get one before I freeze to death later, it's on. Wish me luck!
